When was the last time that you stopped what you were doing and:
- Called an old friend just to say hello?
- Created something beautiful?
- Spent time in nature?
- Gave time to a cause you are passionate about?
- Ate a meal without multi-tasking?
- Read a book purely for fun (it doesn’t count if it was for work and you happened to enjoy it!)?
- Spent time alone doing something that made you feel alive and inspired?
- Spent time alone with no agenda?
- Had a free hour to do whatever you wished?
If your answers to the above questions made you feel sad or unhappy, take time to re-evaluate your time priorities.
Do the ways that you are spending your time reflect what you value or have you lost sight of some important pieces of yourself?
If these questions have raised your time awareness and you wish to make a change, be gentle with yourself. Identify one small thing that you can do to improve your level of satisfaction with your time and begin it now.
