For hands-on sale or removal of your stuff, contact Chris at Orion’s Attic:

Orion’s Attic provides a wide array of services to help you solve almost any need relating to antiques, collectibles, jewelry, furniture, home décor, household items, and more. They are a full-service firm that can handle your prized collections or clear the contents of a home through a combination of services: estate sales, buy-outs, consignment, junk removal and charitable donations to nonprofit organizations. They serve the greater D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia areas and sometimes beyond. No job is too big for them to handle. Contact Chris Lancette at (202) 731-9447 or chris@orionsattic.com.

The best way to see if Chris can sell your collectibles is to email him a few sample photos. He will let you know whether to send more photos or if he wants to look at your collection in person. We have had several clients for whom Orion’s attic has been a godsend – you can even see this testimonial from our client Liz Buchanan! Maybe you will be a happy client as well : )

Got American Girl dolls? Donate them to Yes She Can Inc:

A lovely client told us about Yes She Can Inc and their program, GirlAGain. The company provides jobs to women with autism, who prep the used American Girl dolls for resale!

From their website:

“As we were packing our apartment in NYC to move, my teen daughters thought this would be a good time to give away their beloved American Girl collections. After reading about GirlAGain and their mission there was no question that we wanted our 7 dolls and dozens of outfits and accessories to go to Girl AGain. Our donation supported training of young women with autism and provided affordable dolls to other little girls.”— Sumie Okazaki, NY, NY

Earth911 has long been my go-to website for finding out where to recycle almost anything.  You enter your zip code and the item you wish to recycle and search for local resources.

Let’s ‪‎recycle‬ what we can! For a good green time, visit our friends at Sister Eden for funny short videos featuring easy ways to save the planet.
